The running time between Chicago Avenue and the Loop station at North Wells and Randolph has been reduced two minutes owing to the non-stop at Kinzie. With normal operation of the Wells Street Street bridge, it is estimated by the Company's operating officials that another minute in running time will be saved. If the trains should be stopped at Kinzie Street, this saving in time would be lost, together with another minute in making the stop--a loss of four minutes in all. The evidence does not show any possible convenience that might result from the resumption of the Kinzie station stop that would offset the inconvenience in the loss of time each day to thousands of passengers if such stop were to be made. Owing to the curves just north of the Kinzie Street station, it would lie dangerous to stop seven car trains, a future development, at platforms opposite these curves because of the unusual space there would be between the station platforms and car platforms into which passengers would be likely to step. Train stops at Kinzie Street station have in the past resulted in frequent bunching up of southbound trains north of Kinzie Street, blocking and delaying the traffic during the morning rush hours.
